Testimonial
"I found constellations so very profound - the process has created amazing
shifts for me in relationship to my family - it's been so helpful to see
lifetime patterns & dynamics emerge, be resolved and laid to rest. Now,
I am heard, or rather I am allowing myself to be heard by my family."

What exactly is a Constellation?
A Constellation is a facilitated mapping enquiry creating an birds-eye overview of the matter in hand to explore personal, family, community and wider systemic issues. It can reveal hidden patterns & dynamics, bringing brand new insights & fresh perspectives, inspiring avenues for growth. This is an emergent & embodied process which creates space & possibility for significant, rapid shift & change.

Developed as a methodology by German psychotherapist Bert Hellinger (1925-2019) as Family Constellations in the 1980s. Designed as a method within systemic work to quickly gain insight into the deeper causes of an issue.

Systemic work assumes that we are all part of groups and that within those groups and within ourselves we are driven by unconscious patterns and dynamics. A family, but also a class, a sports club, a region, a country, society: they are all systems in themselves.

A constellation provides a spatial and visual image of a system. It is certainly not only about people in the system. It is mainly about how our families have dealt with history and how they have survived painful situations. That way of survival of our (ancestors) parents is often the source of patterns. And patterns are often (unconsciously) passed on.

In a family constellation you investigate personal questions and patterns within a system with the help of a systemic facilitator. By observing and exploring without judgement, the facilitator tries to make dynamics visible and to create space for a new movement or change.

The same principles and the methodology developed by Bert Hellinger are used for questions and systems beyond the family, beyond the personal into community, collective, societal & systemic issues. They can be done on a 1:1 basis as well as in group settings.
